How to Make a Mug + Wine Glass Teacher Gift Set for the Holidays with Cricut

I’ve partnered with Cricut to show you how to make the cutest teacher gift for the holidays or anytime! Most teachers love their coffee and their wine, so why not give them a cheeky mug + wine glass set for their before school fuel and their after school snack?
You will need:
Cricut Joy Smart Vinyl in the following colors: black, coral, gold, silver, tomato red, and lime green
mug (one with straight sides will make applying the vinyl easier)
wine glass
Directions
1. Gather your materials and open up the project in Cricut Design Space.
2. Click ‘Make It’ and then ‘Without Mat’ if you’re using Cricut Joy Smart Vinyl.
3. Follow the picture steps in Cricut Design Space to cut out the design elements (shapes and words) using your Cricut Joy.
4. Trim around your design elements and weed (remove) the excess vinyl, using the weeder tool as needed.
5. Firmly adhere transfer tape to the design elements— I like using the scraper tool included in the Cricut Joy Starter Tool Set to make sure it’s firmly adhered. You’ll definitely want to use clear transfer tape for this project so that you’re able to line up the elements correctly later.
6. Peel off the vinyl backing.
7. Apply your design elements to the mug and wine glass. Firmly press down using the scraper tool, doing your best to keep the vinyl from wrinkling— this will be a bit trickier on the wine glass.
8. Remove the transfer tape.
You’re done! Gift this set to a deserving teacher or keep it for yourself. If you want to make this gift even more of a treat, pair it with a bag of coffee beans and a bottle of wine!
