Make Custom Hall Passes With Your Cricut
I love my Cricut Joy for convenience and ease of use for quick projects, but I was SO excited to get my hands on the Cricut Maker because it can cut over 300 materials, including wood and chipboard! I tried it out by making these sturdy bathroom and hall passes.

Materials
Cricut Chipboard, 2mm (2 sheets)
Peel-and-stick wallpaper (I had leftover wallpaper from an accent wall in my office, but you could use any patterned peel-and-stick wallpaper or vinyl)
Rope (also left over from another project, you could use any sturdy string or cord!)
Instructions
Open the project file in Cricut Design Space.
Load your chipboard into your Cricut Maker to cut the first three rectangles, using the knife blade and strong grip mat. Remove when finished.
Load your peel-and-stick wallpaper and cut the second three rectangles. You can use the regular blade and a regular mat. I used the matte vinyl setting on my Cricut and it worked perfectly. Remove when finished.
Peel off the wallpaper rectangles and apply to the chipboard rectangles. I found this worked best by placing the wallpaper rectangles on a surface sticky side up, and then lying the chipboard on top.
Load your vinyl and cut the words, using a regular blade and regular mat.
Remove the vinyl from the mat, and then remove excess vinyl from around the words.
Apply transfer tape to the words.
Peel off the backing and then apply the words to your chipboard/wallpaper rectangles.
Feed rope or cord through the hole and tie a knot.
You can easily change up the look of these with a different pattern, font, or color. You could also paint your chipboard instead of using peel-and-stick wallpaper! That was actually my original plan but I spotted some leftover wallpaper in my craft closet and had to use it!
